I was looking for Willow Smith’s new video for her song on Youtube and this was the first thing that popped up and THANK GOD FOR IT! I was shocked, smiling and wanted to die laughing when everything Bruce (DCfan4life) said in the first verse. I can related to all of that! The hair being flat when I lay down, to loose hairs on my shoulders and especially to people telling me what to do with my hair. “You should have it braided” Done that. Twice. “When are you going to cut your hair?” Not anytime soon.
I Liked, Favorite and Subscribe before the video was done. The song is really catchy, a funny spoof of Willow’s song and the beat is by Mike “Klassicmaster” Kalombo. It’s Frotastic.
“I’m fly, I know, I love my afro”

Man I should have done this a looooong time ago, I’ve gotten so many questions about my hair this past week. It’s not that I’ll tell people to go here to get the answers, I just wanted to vent and let ya’ll know how much attention and looks I get. I get most of these questions when I’m meeting someone new. It’s a good ice breaker. Hey it is! Here’s the official info about my afro, clearing up any rumors or questions remaining.
1. How long did it take you to go that? From what I can remember, I stop getting a hair cut after August 2008. Let it grow out and got a pick in December and picked it out.
2. Have you gotten it braided? Yes, twice. First time January 2009, then this January again.
3. How long is it when braided? The end of the braids are a little long.
4. Have you gotten it straighten? Yes and it was shoulder length.
5. How long does it take to pic it out? Ten minutes tops. A bit longer after I take a shower because my hair gets curly when wet.
6. How long are you going to keep it? Maybe when I graduate, I’ll shave it off.

YES! YES! YES! We did it Marcin! We won Vimeo’s weekend project! “And Then I Met Frotography” was pick by the staff and I got my upload limit bump up and internet bragging right! I’m so excited right now! When I got the news, I rolled around my bed like, a little school girl getting tickled! Now this is a great way to start off the weekend!
Again huge thanks to MZ and to Jared Wells for letting me parody him and having an awesome video!

I saw on Vimeo.com, that they had a weekend project, where you would imitate a video that inspired you. With DVP class at Full Sail, the first video Mac showed us was, Jared Well’s “And Then I Met Photography”. I’ve seen it before hand and it seems like everyone refers to it.
So I decided to imitate it and make a little video about my afro. I told MZ about it and he started sending ideas to me and the next day we film it in about a hour. At first it was going to be called; “And Then I grew an Afro”. After filming the next day MZ, sent a text that said; “And then I met frotography?” Yes! That title is awesome!
Be sure to watch both videos to get the full dose of it. Music: “Ladyflash” and “Junior Kickstart” by The Go! Team. “Say it so” by Mateo.
Note: my audio is not the best. That’s what happens when you’re editing two video at the same time:)

Oh hello, wow its been awhile huh? Ok lets get back on this horse shall we?
For my Advance Motion Graphics class at Full Sail, we were to use 30 seconds of music and add some motion graphics touch to it. So I used Universal Mind Control by Common and I had my friend DJ Ghetto D remix the song for me. He pump out a few of them and I feel in love with this one, which was the first one he sent.
The premise was, to have a guy who uses his mind to knock down the objects going by. No it’s not the afro knocking them down! And yes that is a characterization of me with shades, lol.

So while doing some shopping and looking around the mall to see what changed(finally they got rid of KB Toys!) when I was approach by a lady with some lotion in hand extending it to me. Ooohh free lotion! Sure I’ll take some! Gotcha noob! Lol. So she hooked me in and this conversation followed:
Lady: So doing some last minute shopping, for the ladies in your life…
/thread jack, Sports Center guy just shouted out a kid from Winter Park, FL. Near Orlando he said. Kool beans!/end thread jack.
Jmo: Yeah there’s just to many to count.
Lady: I like your hair.
Jmo: Thanks!(This fro is getting so much attention!)
Lady: Is there a finger nail you don’t like?
Jmo: Ummm, *looks at hands*
Lady: *Takes my right ring finger and starts working on it with a rectangle thing* So this material is from the red sea.(something like that)
Lady: Do you like magic?
Jmo: Well it’s a illusion really…
One min. later with some more scrubbin and talkin
Lady: Look how nice it looks.
Jmo: *Looks at finger* Whoa thats shiny!
Lady: So all this can be your as a gift for your mom, for only 69.99…
Jmo: *Steps back* Well my finger nail is really shiny but, that too much.
Lady: Well got any sisters?
Lady: Well I can offer you this one and this for…
Jmo: I’m going to have to pass. It was a really good demonstration and a nice product…
Lady: Ok(seems a little mad that she wasted five minutes of her time)
Jmo: Have a good one…*slowly backs away, turns around and walks briskly away.
Man what a story, looking at my nail hours later it’s still relatively shiny! Kind of felt bad and would’ve gotten it but, dang finger nail cleaning package, you too much!
Later I saw Rico, a friend from MHS, said whats up to him and he gave me a complement about my afro. Really I should have had this thing years ago./thread jack again. WOW Dave Letterman just talked about a lady asking him about the dead sea and mins later he was getting a facial right in the mall. What are the fucking odds! I just spent 20 mins typing this post out and Dave gave this little snip before doing the top 10 list! *Mind Blown!*/end of thread jack.
Maybe I should grow my hair out a least once a year from now on. Maybe. Oh and it’s Christmas eve now, I hope I get some new socks tomorrow!
